Viagra is a well-known medicine that helps men who have trouble getting or keeping an erection or Erectile Dysfunction. While the little blue pill is the most common form of Viagra, there are now several other versions available in different colors, including red, gold, and green.
Each of these versions contains the same active ingredient, sildenafil, but may differ in dosage and other properties.
In this blog, we try to share important information about these four kinds of Viagra to help you figure out which one might be best for treating your ED.
At a brief glance, here’s what we will be covering:
Color | Name | Active Ingredient | Dosage | Duration |
Blue | Viagra | Sildenafil | 25mg to 100mg once a day for ED, and 25mg to 50mg three times daily for Pulmonary Hypertension | Varies |
Red | Red Viagra | Sildenafil | 150mg once a day for ED | Varies |
Gold | Viagra Gold | Sildenafil Citrate | 800mg once a day for ED | Up to 8 hours |
Green | Kamagra (Green Viagra) | Sildenafil | 50mg before sexual activity | Up to 8 hours |
Please note that the dosage and duration may vary depending on individual factors and should be determined by a physician.
Blue Viagra
The blue Viagra pill is a well-known medication for erectile dysfunction. It was discovered by Pfizer while they were trying to create a drug for chest pain and high blood pressure. The active ingredient in the pill, sildenafil, is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension in both men and women.
Sildenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor. These drugs work by controlling the PDE5 enzyme, which helps relax blood vessels and increase blood flow to certain parts of the body. When used for pulmonary hypertension, it increases blood flow to the lungs, making it easier to breathe. When used for erectile dysfunction, it increases blood flow to the penis, resulting in a firmer and longer-lasting erection.
Red Viagra
Red Viagra is a newer version of the Viagra pill that is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. Like the blue pill, it only works when the user is sexually aroused and will not cause an erection on its own. The pills were originally designed and sold in India but are now available worldwide.
Red Viagra can have side effects such as headaches, head rush, dizziness, vision changes, stuffy nose, and digestive disorders. Although it contains many of the same ingredients as the blue pill and has similar effects, it may not work as quickly if taken after a heavy meal. Drinking alcohol while taking Red Viagra may also reduce its effectiveness during sexual activity.
Gold Viagra
Viagra Gold has the same active ingredients as the blue pill and works in a similar way by blocking the PDE5 enzyme and increasing blood flow to the penis when sexually aroused. The main difference is the amount of sildenafil citrate in the drug. Viagra Gold typically has a dosage of 800mg, compared to the 25mg or 50mg found in blue Viagra.
The higher dosage helps to achieve a stronger and longer-lasting erection when sexually aroused. Many men report that the effects of this medication last up to 8 hours. It is recommended for men who have previously taken other forms of Viagra without experiencing allergic reactions or severe side effects.
Green Viagra
Kamagra, also called Green Viagra, is a generic form of the popular blue Viagra pill. It was developed by an Indian company and has the same active ingredients and properties as Viagra. Green Viagra contains sildenafil, which has vasodilator properties that can lower blood pressure and relax blood vessels, increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal. Green Viagra often lasts longer, working up to 8 hours.
In addition to the oral tablet form, Kamagra is also available in creams, gels, and capsules. Like other forms of Viagra, it should only be taken once a day.
